Well I disagree that converting to voip phone service is an easy job. I switched my office to voip phone service. It took one month to inform all our clients that we had changed the phone service. As we had been advertising old number, so we had to advertise our number again.

It seems you were quite new to voip phone service and you tried to switch without having an in view of the market. Actually, all the voip phone service providers offer number porting feature. If you had availed that feature, you would not have to change your number. I think your voip phone service provider did not inform you about it. This is why I stress to go for a voip service provider, which offers sales support with human interface.

As you can see he was new to the service, it was his vendors duty to inform him about everything. I don’t think he has done anything wrong. One more thing as you can see he at that time was not much aware of the voip phone features, how he would have asked his vendor.

  • Core

My point is that obviously it was not his fault that he was not aware of the voip features. However, it was his vendor’s duty to consult him properly. They should have discussed with him either on chat or on phone service what his business was and how their service could benefit his business.
