People are revolutionizing their ways of living. Pace of life is generally increasing. Every day, new advancements are introduced in every field of life. Same is the situation with telecommunication; landline phone service is no more in power. Now individuals and businesses look for fast and efficient mean of communication. In this competitive environment expensive landline service is no more needed as firms cannot afford to use it. Inflation has hindered the power of consumer to spend freely so everyone is looking for ways and means to cut their cost. In this scenario a ray of hope is “Voice over Internet Protocol” (VoIP). The popularity and success of VoIP or Internet telephony is only made possible with the help of Broadband internet. As the success of VoIP is directly related to the efficiency of Internet so VoIP is also known as Internet Phone or Broadband Phone. Internet phone is not just an alternative for the traditional landline phone service till making voice calls rather with it you can experience better voice quality, web facilities, video live conferencing, sharing of pictures and any data transfer. These are the features which can be availed simultaneously to making calls.

What else internet phone has to offer? Well, there is a lot more with VoIP then just inexpensive local and long distance calls. Internet Phone offers you lots of features for free which are charged additional to your monthly bill. With VoIP you are free to use any feature, without paying any extra charges, from a long list of options. Most of them are offered by default but still you can access your account online and activate/deactivate any feature by making a couple of clicks.

Inter phone as compared to landline phone service needs few more steps to setup a connection. For VoIP you avail the benefits by making calls through computer and internet connection or you can also attach a very inexpensive (mostly provided by Service providers) device called ATA or Analog telephone adapter. With ATA you can use your conventional phone set in the same manner as with PSTN service, the only difference will be the medium of transmission of voice/data. If a user opts for making calls through computer than he can simply download required software free of cost from internet, start making calls, and live video conference with those who are also available online. If users want to avail service like a traditional landline, than you need to get the services of a specialized VoIP service provider like Axvoice.

The internet phone is based upon the IP process. The working of IP process involves conversion of Voice signals into digital packets of data. These packets are transferred to the other end and are converted back to voice signals. With this digital data transmission uninterrupted communication caries on in an efficient and effective manner which increases the quality and reputation of VoIP when compared with landline phone service.

So with all these features and services, VoIP is leading telecommunication.

I am fed up of hearing “in voip technology, voice signals are converted in to digital packets of data”. I feel voip industry has stopped at one point. Just look at their web sites. All of them have same packages and plans. The features they are offering are the same. I don’t think there is any difference between them. They have nothing new to offer.

Everyone has the right to keep his own opinion. Also everyone has the right to agree or disagree with that opinion. I think voip phone industry is the most rapidly developing industry now a day. Look at skype they are launching new and unique application every third day. Visit axvoice site. It is not “glittering” yet you will find very unique offers and features on these prestigious pages. People are looking forward to attach their home security systems with their voip phones. So to me, voip technology is offering something new daily.

I agree with Aziz Ahmed. Voip technology is undergoing a swift evolution. Everyday new voip providers jump in to the business. If you check their features carefully, you will find a difference. Some are providing 20 features and some are providing 30 featuers. Obviously, there is a huge difference between 30 and 20.

Yes, you are right. voip phone technology is under a consistent development. I would say that it is the most volatile industry right now. Everyday, we see new voip providers starting their business. Interestingly, I have never seen any voip provider declaring loss situations. Nearly all the voip providers are earning something according the quality of their service.
